Robert balances duties as a music director, conductor, orchestrator, arranger, accompanist, keyboard programmer and liturgical musician.
Robert has appeared with numerous local companies including the Pittsburgh CLO: Legally Blonde, The Wedding Singer, Altar Boyz, The Toxic Avenger, Xanadu, Up and Away, Game On, Spamilton, Rock of Ages, as well serving as orchestrator and arranger for the CLO's productions of Titanic, The Full Monty, Grease, Oklahoma! and Peter Pan. Pittsburgh Musical Theatre: Nunsense, Evil Dead, Young Frankenstein, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Peter Pan, In the Heights, American Idiot, Tarzan, A Chorus Line, Saturday Night Fever, Rent, Avenue Q. Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center: The Little Mermaid, Phantom of the Opera, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, In the Heights, Matilda. Point Park University: Evita, The Who’s Tommy. Carnegie Mellon University: Ragtime, Into the Woods. Duquesne University: Bat Boy, You're a Good Man Charlie Brown.
In 2015, Robert served as music director and conductor of the first Sondheim approved "male-witch" production of Into the Woods starring Titus Burgess at the Adrienne Arsht Center in Miami FL
Robert's credits as co-founder and music director of Carnivale Theatrics at the New Hazlett Theater include Sweeney Todd, Ragtime, Into the Woods and the regional premiers of In the Heights, Next to Normal, and The Bridges of Madison County. Robert has also appeared with the national touring company of Jersey Boys.
Robert has created special arrangements and transcriptions for Titus Burgess, Stephen Schwartz, David Yazbek, Clay Aiken, Jenn Colella, Michael Cerveris, Chris Jackson and Ariel Jacobs among others.
For the past six years, Robert has served as an arranger, music copyist and conductor of the Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera's Gene Kelly Awards for Excellence in High School Musical Theatre, as well as Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center's Henry Mancini Awards.
Robert is currently a staff accompanist with the Conservatory of Performing Arts at Point Park University and an Adjunct Professor of Voice at Robert Morris University. Robert is a graduate of Duquesne University's Mary Pappert School of Music with a degree in music composition and is a proud member of the American Federation of Musicians, the National Association of Pastoral Musicians and the American Guild of Organists.
